New Resource For Travelers: Destinations Requiring Travel Insurance
(ROCKVILLE, MARYLAND) June 22, 2021 – The US Travel Insurance Association (UStiA) has developed a new resource to provide travelers with current information on COVID-related travel insurance requirements.
UStiA is pleased to provide a list of related travel insurance requirements, current as of its date of publication, as a resource for the industry, the public, and for travel advisors to use as a reference in conjunction with booking travel for their clients.
Popular destinations and travel methods like cruises, select airlines, and resorts are increasingly requiring visitors to have one or more of the following:
proof of being vaccinated against COVID
recent test results showing no COVID infection
travel insurance coverage that will pay for quarantines, medical treatment, and other expenses that might be incurred as a result of an illness, injury, or other unexpected event during travel
The UStiA advises travelers to double check with their destination to get real-time information as travel insurance requirements can change without notice.
