Destinations Requiring Travel Insurance *Scroll down to toggle between the main "Post Covid Entry Requirements" tab, "In-Depth Requirements", and "Cruise Lines Requiring Vaccines"
Popular destinations and travel methods such as cruises, select airlines, and resorts are increasingly requiring that visitors have proof of vaccination against Covid, recent test results showing no-Covid infection, and/or travel insurance coverage that will pay for quarantines, medical treatment and other expenses that might be incurred as a result of an illness, injury or other unexpected event. UStiA is pleased to provide this list of travel insurance requirements that is current as of its date of publication.
Please be aware that insurance requirements can change without notice and travelers should double check with their destination to get the latest information. Vaccine requirements are not new for certain types of travel, so travelers should make proper arrangements to meet vaccination requirements (whether for Covid, small pox, measles, or any other vaccination requirement). Failure to get proper and timely vaccinations is generally not a covered event under many travel insurance policies, so insureds and travel advisors should check with their travel supplier regarding any available options regarding refunds or travel credits in the event that they cannot get vaccinated in a timely manner (or cannot provide proof of their vaccination at the time of boarding).
